Your Role


We are seeking an experienced IB MYP Drama and IB DP Theatre Teacher, who will also serve as the school’s Performing Arts Department Coordinator.
The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in theatre education, strong artistic leadership, and the ability to enhance the performing arts culture across ICS.

The role is ideal for a teacher who values collaboration, student-led creativity, and cross-disciplinary opportunities.

Specific Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Teach MYP Drama (Grades 6–10) and IB DP Theatre (Grades 11–12).
  • Develop engaging, performance-based learning experiences that nurture student creativity.
  • Play a major role in school productions, showcases, and performance events.
  • Coordinate performing arts programming (stipend), including events, awards, and interdisciplinary arts initiatives.
  • Manage and prepare the Secondary Theatre curricular budget and Department documentation.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback and maintain accurate records of student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build a cohesive, aligned performing arts curriculum.
  • Support students’ social and emotional well-being as a tutor.
  • Contribute to community-building through the arts.

The successful candidate will have:

What makes you our ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification in Drama/Theatre/Performing Arts.
  • More than 5 years experience teaching IB DP Theatre and MYP Drama.
  • Strong artistic and organisational leadership in school productions.
  • Confidence with technical theatre (sound, lighting, staging).
  • Experience in international or IB schools preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to ICS values.
  • Ability to inspire students and cultivate a creative, safe, inclusive learning environment.
