Your Mission
As our Safety Manager, you will primarily ensure the daily safety, security, and welfare of all students. You are typically responsible for monitoring attendance, implementing safety procedures, managing emergency preparedness, and fostering a safe learning environment. You will lead our health, safety, and emergency response initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor student attendance records and promptly follow up on absences or lateness.
Communicate attendance-related concerns to teachers, parents, and school leadership.
Maintain accurate attendance records using school information systems.
- Student Safety & Supervision:
Supervise and monitor student safety during school hours, including arrival, dismissal, and breaks.
Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards within the school premises.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols in school-related activities, including field trips and special events.
- Emergency Preparedness & Response:
Develop, implement, and review safety and emergency protocols (fire drills, lockdowns, evacuations).
Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for students and staff.
Act as a central figure in responding to emergencies and coordinating necessary actions.
- Communication & Reporting:
Serve as the primary point of contact regarding student safety and attendance concerns.
Regularly communicate with families regarding safety policies, procedures, and attendance matters.
Document and report safety incidents or concerns according to school procedures.
- Collaboration & Training:
Collaborate with faculty and staff to embed a strong culture of safety within the school.
Provide safety training and briefings to staff, including first-aid training or workshops.
Coordinate with external agencies and authorities (local police, fire departments, health agencies) as needed.
Review and recommend improvements to school safety and attendance policies.
Ensure school compliance with local Swiss regulations and international standards related to school safety.
What You Bring
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in school administration, student supervision, or similar roles.
Knowledge of safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and attendance management.
Fluency in English and German
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
