Your Role


We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and highly organised Performing Arts Coordinator (Theatre, Music, Visual Arts) to join our Student Life Department for the 2026–27 school year. This whole-school role provides leadership and coordination for performances, productions, concerts, exhibitions, and co-curricular arts opportunities from Early Years to Grade 12, with a particular focus on theatrical performance and live events.

This position requires a certified teacher with experience in Theatre, Dance, Music, Performing Arts, or Arts Education, who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing artistic experiences to life for students.

Specific Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Lead the design and delivery of the whole-school co-curricular arts programme, with strong emphasis on theatre productions, performances, and live events
  • Coordinate school plays, musicals, showcases, concerts, festivals, and exhibitions across all divisions
  • Develop performance opportunities that nurture student confidence, expression, and artistic identity
  • Work closely with the Performing Arts Technician on staging, lighting, sound, sets, and technical requirements
  • Support, schedule, and collaborate with peripatetic music teachers and arts faculty leads
  • Build partnerships with organisations such as ISTA, AMIS, SGIS, local theatres, and arts events
  • Promote student agency by guiding arts clubs, student leadership groups, and performance teams
  • Model inclusive participation, ensuring all students have access to high-quality arts experiences
  • Teach or co-teach a small number of lessons or serve as a tutor/advisor (as required)
  • Manage budgets, planning timelines, risk assessments, resources, and event logistics
  • Work with Communications to highlight and celebrate artistic achievements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Certified teacher with a degree in Theatre, Performing Arts, Music, Visual Arts, or Arts Education
  • Significant experience in coordinating performances, theatre productions, or school arts events
  • Demonstrated success leading arts programmes across multiple age groups
  • Strong organisational and project-management skills, able to plan complex productions
  • Collaborative mindset — able to work with creative teams, technicians, teachers, and families
  • Experience mentoring or guiding students in artistic development
  • Passion for performance, storytelling, and live artistic experiences
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German or other languages is an advantage
  • Flexibility to support evening and weekend rehearsals, showcases, or large-scale productions
